History Project

Hi everybody,

My history project group (Jin Yang, Chen Yao and myself) went to Memories at Old Ford Factory yesterday to do our history project on The Japanese Occupation of Singapore. We woke up early and went there at 9a.m. The museum was going to open at that time, so we decided to go there once it opens to have as much time as possible.

When we arrived, the museum had just opened. The genial museum curator collected our admission fare and offered to give us a tour when he heard that we were there for a school project, but we thanked him politely and declined as we needed to do a few videos of us pretending to be tour guides!

However, the museum curator soon reappeared, (there was nobody else around and he was probably bored), and he dragged us to a screening room and started playing a video about the Japanese Occupation in Singapore. We were very grateful as the video was interesting and useful. Afterwards, we started on the filming, which was interesting.

The first video we did was an introduction to the museum. That video, which was done by Chen Yao, was rather short, as it was only him talking for about half a minute. The second vidfeo was done by Chen Yao again, introducing the two main leaders of teh two forces in the Japanese Invasion. The third video was done by Jin Yang, and it was about the transcript of the dialogue between the two leaders during the surrender discussion. Of course, all filming up to now was done by yours truly. There are a few more videos, but I would not list them and describe them all here.

Soon, we finished filming and went to play with the interactive exhibit, History in Numbers until our parents came. Then, we went home.
